Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (REEES) is an interdisciplinary program that provides a broad range of courses in the history, language, literature, and social and political life of Russia (before, during, and after the Soviet period). It is designed for students who do not wish to restrict their Russian studies to literature. Students interested in pursuing a major or minor in REEES should consult a faculty advisor to plan their major or minor coursework.

Why study Russian today? A recent WBUR (public radio in Boston) episode covered the increased need for Americans trained in Russian language, culture, and politics.
