Middle East Studies Minor

The minor consists of seven upper division courses, or four upper division courses and a three course language series. Three of the upper division courses have to deal with the Middle East since the emergence of Islam, listed under "Core Courses." Approved courses are listed under Courses on the Middle East Studies website and in the general catalog. All courses used to meet requirements for a minor in Middle East Studies must be taken for a letter grade and be passed with a grade of C- or better.

Heritage Language

Heritage Languages Offered: Arabic, Persian
Heritage Language courses are designed for students who grew up in a family where a language other than English was spoken--students who understand a bit of that language, but do not necessarily have a strong command of the language's grammar are in a perfect position to take a course in the Heritage Language Program.
